We are seeking a passionate and qualified RE Teacher to join a thriving department at a prestigious secondary school in Croydon South London. This is a fulltime permanent position offering the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the academic and personal development of students.
About the Role
- Deliver engaging and stimulating RE lessons to KS3 and KS4 students.
- Foster a love of learning for RE and develop a deep understanding of religious beliefs and practices.
- Create and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum.
- Contribute to the schools RE curriculum ensuring its effectiveness and relevance.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Build strong relationships with students parents and colleagues within the department.
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Religious Education or a related discipline.
- Proven experience teaching RE at secondary school level (KS3 & KS4).
- A strong passion for RE and the ability to ignite students curiosity in the subject.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds.
- A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues and sharing best practices.
