We are seeking Sous Chef to join our expanding catering & events team.
This position will suit a creative committed chef with a passion for modern Australian cooking who understands catering and; production.
Responsibilities include assisting the head chef in the smooth and efficient kitchen operations maintaining high food standards utilising your flair & previous experience to assist with menu design ordering & the execution of external functions and events.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
- Experience in functions and external catering
- Manage staff effectively & efficiently
- An understanding of modern & traditional cookery.
- A strong understanding of food costs and control
- A flexible approach in adapting to guest requests
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
- Successfully completed an apprenticeship
- Experience in a similar position
