Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provides a range of I&IT business analysis services for diverse needs.
  • Interacts with stakeholders to understand requirements through various methods.
  • Prepares and advises on business analysis policies and best practices.

General Skills:

  • Leads business analysis to assess problems/opportunities and document requirements.
  • Applies reengineering concepts for business improvements.
  • Conducts detailed business analysis aligned with project management methodologies.
  • Develops strategies business cases costbenefit analyses and feasibility studies.
  • Establishes processes for requirements gathering (e.g. JAD sessions interviews).
  • Performs business modeling data modeling and flow modeling.
  • Defines business rules and nonfunctional requirements for projects.
  • Monitors progress resolves issues and reports to management.
  • Develops performance measures and traceability matrices for evaluation.

Experience:

  • Developing strategies and conducting costbenefit analysis.
  • Gathering requirements creating documentation and engaging stakeholders.
  • Using CASE tools for documenting requirements.
  • Awareness of emerging I&IT trends and technologies.

Communication and Team Skills:

  • Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines as a team player.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with information retrieval packages.
  • Knowledge of Information Management principles and practices.
  • Translating business/data requirements into technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with various business analysis methods and tools.
  • Experience in structured objectoriented and agile methodologies.
  • Developing performance measures for business analysis and followup.
  • Understanding of AODA and related standards.


Requirements

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Requirements:


The Consultant will be responsible for providing some or all of the following services:
  • Business Analysis and Design
  • Development/maintenance of documentation as per Methodology (UPM)
  • Incident management/support

The Consultant will also be responsible for providing the following services:
  • Complete work as assigned
  • Provide progress/status information to Client Management
  • Comply with Client security procedures and practices
  • Comply with Client Conflict of Interest and Confidentiality Guidelines
  • Provide skills / knowledge transfer to appropriate Client staff.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated experience gathering requirements translating business documents into technical specifications
  • Demonstrated experience presenting findings to both to client and to technical resources
  • Demonstrated experience in accounting principles /financial analysis
  • Demonstrated experience leading development/support teams supporting multidimensional and relational database and their applications for effective planning budgeting strategizing and forecasting procedures
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex applications utilizing Relational and multidimensional databases
  • Sound and current knowledge of planning and budgeting processes and practices as applied within the OPS
  • Sound and current knowledge of Project Management and system development practices within the OPS.

The Consultant must be able to demonstrate the ability to deal tactfully with people and have excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written.



MUST HAVES:

  • knowledge of business analysis including enterprise level and client program area business analysis and modeling expertise; related business analysis tools technology processes and methodologies; business analysisrelated technical and business planning
  • Software development life cycle design development and integration; database concepts; user interface design principles
  • Knowledge of enterprise architectural concepts specifically in the area of business architecture
  • Provide consultation and advice to senior cluster management and staff
  • Client relationship management skills demonstrated through experience in business analysis
