Job Description
Great opportunity for a Junior Groundsman reporting to the Head Grounds Man working within a team of 4 on a private estate near Banbury in Oxfordshire.
This is a junior role ideally suited to someone who has worked on a private estate previously or has a military background and a real interest in gardening/grounds work and looking to develop these skills. No accommodation is provided so must live within a commutable distance of Banbury.
Full driving license and an enthusiastic and flexible approach is essential happy to put in effort and follow direction from the current team.
Duties to include:
- Maintenance of grounds 80acres: mowing strimming weeding gardening (minimal flower beds but overall lawn and bed grooming).
- Maintenance of fencing/gate/barn/outbuildings/walk ways.
- Poultry care Dog walking/feeding/care
- Maintenance of machinery/tools/organising servicing etc.
- Exterior of house: jet washing leaf blowing ensuring daily terraces and furniture are ready for the summer season.
- Occasional support with the house when required minor repairs/moving furniture etc
Generally working Monday to Friday 85 (with one weekend a month). Salary negotiable according to experience 30k 35k gross pa annual bonus
