Head of Maths- Exceptional school in Barnet- April start

We are excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Head of Maths to join our team at a highly regarded school in Barnet. This is a fulltime position starting in April. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual with a strong background in Mathematics education and a passion for delivering excellence. As the Head of Maths you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the Mathematics department working closely with a team of experienced teachers to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment. You will play a key role in developing and implementing the curriculum ensuring that students receive a highquality education that prepares them for success in higher education and beyond. In addition you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other Heads of Department and senior leadership to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the school. This role offers a platform for professional growth and the chance to make a significant impact on the education of our students.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Maths department ensuring the delivery of an outstanding Maths curriculum
• Provide instructional leadership and support to Maths teachers fostering a culture of high academic achievement
• Monitor and assess student progress in Mathematics implementing effective strategies to support their learning
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver engaging and innovative Maths lessons
• Mentor and support Maths teachers in their professional development providing guidance and feedback
• Contribute to the schools Maths program and extracurricular activities
• Maintain accurate records of student performance attendance and behavior

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Specialization in Mathematics or a related field Postgraduate degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education (preferred) Extensive experience in teaching Mathematics preferably in a leadership role Excellent knowledge and understanding of the Mathematics curriculum Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team Excellent communication organization and problemsolving abilities Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest pedagogical approaches in Mathematics education
