Job Description:
NB Global Solutions acting as the General Contractor supplies proprietary prefabricated steelframed panelized volumetric and modular building systems to our clients delivering a turnkey building solution. We are looking for a qualified Project Manager to manage existing/future projects and assist in growing the company. Qualified candidates should have experience submitting public and private contract bids procurement logistics knowledge and connections within various building sectors including government hospitality education medical and residential/commercial.
Qualifications:
Substantial and extensive experience with planning management and execution of multiple projects ranging from different sizes and magnitude
Knowledge and understanding of the responsibilities and impacts of project execution when interfacing with General Contractors Construction Managers or Clients
Ability to develop detailed project schedules inclusive of all inscope engineering installation and integration schedule activities as well as explicit and implicate outofscope milestones by others (i.e. owners and general contractors) impacting project execution
Knowledge of 3rd party procurement including development of RFPs/RFQs bid review and assessment and contract award in cooperation with purchasing resources
Ability to coordinate the execution of activities by internal resources as well as owner/general contractor resources and recognize early and proactively issues that require corrective action and impact on timely execution
Experience with the coordination of onsite activities involving many (sub)contractors vying for the same space and time windows
Ability to understand architectural plans and engineering drawings
Demonstrates understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction motivation performance management and disciplinary action
Experience in management planning and possess excellent communication skills
Minimum 510 years of successful experience in a related field and successful demonstration of knowledge of key responsibilities as presented above
Tasks:
Interact with the initial project s client regarding the designated building structures and the related construction services for the Project
Experience dealing with government and international clients (federal state municipal)
Implement project s objectives and draft construction programming schedule to meet deadlines
Manage and supervise workforce and subcontractors including trades
Plan and execute all aspects of a project bid process preconstruction project scope development project plan and timeline development supplier and subcontractor selection infield management and project closeout
Think outside the box when necessary to problem solve beyond a project s specific SOW
Oversee all facets of the implementation of the Project including tracking the Project s forecasted and actual profitability working with the factory all relevant suppliers vendors trades and local labor
Provide daily progress reports to senior project manager including photographic and progress reports logs
Draft and manage project schedules and tracking charts (e.g. GANTT chart)
Evaluate and provide supervision management and guidance to onsite Field Supervisor trades subcontractors and visitors for required site safety requirements
Demonstrate understanding and application of supervisory approaches for work direction motivation performance management and disciplinary action
Providing strategic and operational advice and guidance as requested by the Company s executives
Responsibilities:
Execution of general processes associated with change control approvals and information exchange involving several stake holders both internal and external in particular with a large number of subcontractors
Successfully define workflows jobs and reporting relationships of a project team to obtain optimum effectiveness
Support development of departmental budgets and business plans for functional areas
Participate in evaluating and recommending changes in methods or procedures in own area of responsibility
Facilitates the execution of project/program solution plan for projects or programs
Supports the Sr. Project Manager role (definition of schedule budget risk change opportunity and resource allocation management) for projects
Provide an active support role in maintaining client relationships and sales opportunities
Report directly to the Sr. Project Manager with all aspects of the project reporting
Bachelor s degree or higher (or relative experience)
Engineering degree is beneficial
At least 510 years of industry experience (site construction and/or prefabricated building industry experience)
Knowledge in all facets of construction including but not limited to civil structural foundation utilities finishes etc.
Experience in managing and executing projects of all sizes
Must live in close proximity to an international airport and be able to travel (up to 50%) as required (domestic and international)
Proficient with Microsoft suite (Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook Teams)
Proficient with CAD drawings and Architectural and Engineering plans
Past experience capability and willingness to work remotely
Willingness to work at remote client sites for extended periods of time as needed by the Project s commitments
