What youll get to do

We are looking for a Data Engineer for our Data Science team in Vienna. In the team we make sure that data from all kinds of sources no matter how big complicated or messy ends up in our central data warehouse and is robust to unforeseen changes. You will contribute to creating a data infrastructure that people love working with.

AMONG OTHER THINGS YOU WILL

• Integrate a wide range of data sources from databases to external services into our data warehouse
• Operate maintain and improve our existing data integrations and ETL jobs
• Develop data services for inhouse use as well as our product
• Support the development team in putting these services to production
• Work in a crossfunctional team with data engineers data scientists and BI analysts
• Support our BI analysts with data transformations and automatization
• Support other teams with your knowhow
• Come up with fresh ideas to make our data useful and accessible to more people

WHO YOU ARE

• Our ideal candidate has an MSc. or BSc. in a relevant field of study such as: Computer Science Machine Learning Data Science Software Engineering Physics or Mathematics
• You have at least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position
• You enjoy writing robust and welltested Python code
• You have solid SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases
• You are familiar with git and software development tools for CI/CD monitoring and logging
• Ideally you are familiar with Pythons data and scientific computing stack
• Previous experience in working with cloud providers like AWS and serverless architectures is a bonus
• You have very good English language skills German language skills are a plus

The annual gross salary for this position based on a fulltime employment depending on your individual professional qualifications and previous experience ranges from 40.600. to 63000.. This includes: full health insurance occupational accident insurance public pension scheme and public unemployment insurance.
