Job Description

Pargo cares about data and wants to use it more strategically as a sound foundation for its decisionmaking.


Our architecture has been built with intention. Now we are looking for a Head of Data who believes that data is a business philosophy not just a business tool to help us further improve our use of data inside the organisation.


We want a culture of datasupported decisionmaking for everything from product (where are the best locations for our next set of pickuppoints) to operations (defining effectiveness and efficiency measures across the business. For example cost optimisation) to strategy and growth (revenue management.)


Leading a team of four people and working closely with the COO and the rest of the executive team. This role will help to create a culture of data where accessible accurate and relevant information is available to everyone in the business so that daily decisionmaking is faster and better.


Outcomes how will your work be measured in the first year

Data culture shifting how the business views and uses data for daily decisionmaking
Data design and reporting creating a single source of truth for business data
Analytics Answering key strategic questions for the business all linked to our strategy and plan for 2024/5
Pricing datadriven pricing model to support business innovation
Team grow a sustainable and resilient team


Requirements


Competences attributes knowledge and skills required:

  • Working with and developing a data strategy
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Ability to translate business objectives into meaningful reports and dashboards
  • Oversee innovate and maintain data architecture and infrastructure
  • Technical skills such as BI data modelling analytics
  • Stakeholder management skills such as the ability to translate the technical world of data into everyday language for the average person to understand why it is important and how it moves the dial
  • Leadership skills mentoring coaching and guiding the professional development of the team
  • Business context understanding data impact in the real world of business
  • Relationship building the ability to create relationships with key people outside of the direct data domain
  • Strategic thinking the key here is the ability to challenge strategically and directly

Your primary focus is to drive acquisition and onboarding of access points to aggressively and strategically expand our access point network. You will identify and prioritise suitable potential access points, create a strong pipeline and manage the end-to-end acquisition process. You are a hunter with great negotiation and closing skills and will also manage your accounts long term, build strong relationships and play a pivotal role in enhancing service quality and compliance. By working together with the operational, support and marketing team you will ensure the nurturing of these relationships and sustainable growth. You are a detail-oriented individual with strong administrative skills who is always in control of their pipeline and portfolio.
