Firefighter

• You will perform structural firefighting duties for a variety of facilities.
  
• You will perform airfield firefighting by involving air traffic or support operations where hazardous conditions are.
  
• You will operate a variety of firefighting equipment.
  
• You will combat fire or rescue personnel on board ships where conditions create very difficult and dangerous situations.

• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• All qualifications requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement and clearly documented in your resume.
  
• Selectee will be required to successfully complete a preappointment physical examination.
  
• You must have reached your 37 birthday prior to appointment.
  
• This is a bargaining unit position.
  
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver s license.
  
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  
• Successful completion of a preemployment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.

• This position is considered Key/NonCombat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
  
• Incumbent is required to work a 72hour week on a 48hour on/48hour off basis that includes weekends and holidays. May be subject to recall.
  
• Incumbent is required to use all safety equipment and clothing provided by management.
