Job Description

As a Senior Manager Design & Branding you will be responsible to interpret business needs and briefs and turn them into compelling creative solutions. Leads teams of design and equipment managers and specialists providing creatives strategic decisions budget recommendations that affect the functional area of responsibility in PDD; Onboard & Lounges and Aircraft Interiors. Deliver effective communication innovation and highlevel design solutions. Ensure that all products and experiences are delivered on time on budget and to the highest standards of quality. In addition to communicating companys creative vision to design team equipment team and stakeholders supervises the entire design process and allimportant technical decisions. Tracks timelines managing budgets and maintaining supplier and other stakeholder relationships. As expert communicators keep in touch with all team members and make sure that everyone has the resources and knowledge needed to succeed.

  • Define effective design strategy and vision for product definition creative design and branding industrial and product environmental & structural etc. for various areas of the business such as Onboard & Lounges and Aircraft Interiors.
  • Provide direction to the team to develop the most effective ideas into detailed drawings to actual design solution for Qatar Airways.
  • Strengthen the QR brand its positioning and representation based on product quality design aesthetics strategic brand partnerships and tieups for inflight and lounge products propositions.
  • Define most productive tender and product sourcing approaches relevant to the product quality aspired to target deadline and budget allocation.
  • Extending the scope to special projects for other subsidiaries and division of Qatar Airways namely Marketing Charter Flight Corporate Communication from product brand alignment events synergy and alike.
  • Work closely with various leading airline businesses to benchmark and understanding technology production methods techniques and most effective solutions.
  • Conduct thorough product cost analysis to build compelling business cases for budget allocation resulting to be value for money.
  • Planning tenders to most strategic advantage for all items that are customer facing sponsored by the department. Including strengthen relevant brand partnerships best value for airline design solution based.
  • Look for innovation opportunities such as new product range markets and industry developments. Take advantage of possible opportunities that can occur to advance the department propositions.
  • Develop effective internal process to consistently meet tender timelines most effective approach to evaluation process to gain most fruitful results from tender.
  • Define additional contractual advantages such as brand exclusivity design ownership and alike that serves best interest for the airline.
  • Create and see through a specific product sourcing definitions that guides the equipment team to work towards.
  • Lead the project management defining comprehensive timeline plan for ontime delivery/completion of projects may it be long term or urgent basis.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders and/or suppliers for a smooth launch plan.

Qualifications

About You

  • Minimum qualification of bachelors degree or equivalent is essential.
  • 10 years of jobrelated experience.
  • Qualification in design related field such as Industrial Graphics Interiors.
  • Experience in leading a design and development team in an interactive medium such as graphic design and element design facility with a large production capability.
  • Experience in various aspects of production and equipment management.
  • Understanding of product and equipment development production methodology and project management within the airline industry or similar.
  • Experience is product development design phases including the ability to script product development phases will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in leading a design and development team in an interactive medium such as graphic design and element design facility with a large production capability.
