As we continue to expand our operations we are seeking a passionate and experienced quality lead to build an international team of fruit and vegetable quality control specialists in Germany France and the Netherlands.

In a nutshell

As the international fruit and vegetable quality lead you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers consistently receive topquality products and building a strong international team of fruit and vegetable specialists. Your responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control procedures throughout our supply chain from sourcing to delivery. This role requires a keen attention to detail strong communication skills leadership skills and a deep understanding of industrystandard quality benchmarks.

What youll do

  • Develop and implement Picnics quality control processes for vegetables and fruits including inspection criteria sampling procedures and quality assurance protocols.
  • Conduct regular inspections of incoming products shipments to assess freshness quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Collaborate with Picnics suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards resolve quality issues and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of our products suppliers providing feedback and guidance as needed to improve quality and consistency.
  • Work closely with crossfunctional teams at Picnic including buying category management. analysts and customer service to address qualityrelated issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Train and educate Picnics team members on quality control procedures product specifications and best practices for handling and storing products.
  • Stay informed about industry trends developments and emerging technologies related to products quality and food safety.

About you

  • Masters degree in Food: Food Quality Management Food Technology Nutrition and Health or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a grocery / retail environment with a focus on fruit and veg
  • Strong knowledge of produce quality standards grading systems and industry best practices.
  • Experience with food safety regulations HACCP principles and GMP standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to identify and address quality issues effectively.
  • Proven leadership abilities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Fluent in English Dutch German or French is a plus
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel in the Netherlands Germany and France
