Job Title: Computational Design Engineer: EDA & Scientific Computing

Location: Cambridge (MA)hybrid

AxiomaticAI is readying to launch with the aim to accelerate R&D by Automated Interpretable Reasoning (AIR) a verifiably truthful AI model built for reasoning in science and engineering. AxiomaticAI is hiring top talent interested in a future of human reasoning aided by not replaced by AI and a future that empowers a new generation of innovators to solve important problems through deeptech engineering in the semiconductor ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

Developing and implementing numerical simulations and optimization algorithms to solve complex engineering problems.

Seamlessly integrating with external design tools like Cadence through APIs facilitating automated design workflows.

Applying autodifferentiation techniques to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of design optimizations.

Collaborating with system architects and design engineers to translate theoretical models into implementable designs.

Ensuring designs meet stringent performance power and area specifications through rigorous simulations and analyses.

Keeping abreast of the latest developments in scientific programming optimization techniques and EDA tool functionalities.

Qualifications:

Advanced degree (MSc or higher) in Electrical Engineering Computer Science Physics or a related field with a strong emphasis on numerical methods.

3 years of experience in scientific programming related to hardware design including experience with optimization and autodifferentiation techniques.

Proficiency in interfacing with EDA tools (e.g. Cadence) through APIs.

Solid understanding of semiconductor physics and VLSI design principles.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Python MATLAB or Julia and hardware description languages like Verilog/VHDL.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and excellent communication skills.
