The Role

CloserStill Media Ltd is once again proud to present the 2024 edition of the Graduate Bootcamp. The one stop shop to gain the experience comprehension and expertise you will need to start your career in the Events industry. It will be an entertaining and competitive 8 weeks in which you will dip your toes into the waters of multiple different departments. At CSM we have a proven track record of nurturing talent and promoting from within with over 17% of our current London workforce having started in previous editions of the bootcamp or started in our own telemarketing department. We want you to be a part of our next generation of Closerstillians. Do you have what it takes

Bootcamp Highlights

  • 8 weeks of tailored learning & content at one of the leading event companies in Europe.
  • A chance to hone & find new skills in a range of our departments learning from industry leading professionals Marketing Content Digital & Data & Operations.
  • You will get paid! 22308 per annum is prorated across the 8 weeks.
  • Opportunities to meet like minded peers and create lasting bonds.
  • All those who are successful and take part in the bootcamp will be given the chance to interview for a permanent role at CSM at the end of the 8 weeks.

Who are we looking for

  • A risk taker someone who isnt afraid to weigh up the options and just go for it.
  • A diligent individual someone who has the right work ethic and also knows why hard work is important.
  • A versatile candidate who shows enterprise.

Responsibilities in the role will include but are not limited to:

  • Operations Our operations team are the cogs that keep our event machines running. Everything you see & hear at our events will have been organised via the operations team. They deal with floorplans builds & breakdowns educational speakers stage building audio equipment and much much more. A keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills are cornerstones of this department.
  • Marketing Our marketing team are the driving force behind the events providing insight into all the benefits of attending not just for the visitors but also for the exhibitors. Utilising a wide range of channels from paid Google ads to good oldfashioned email campaigns & physical posts. The marketing teams for each event are deeply passionate about their product and always strive to increase the audience & exhibitor numbers at the events.
  • Content Our content team are indeed an expert in their chosen industry. One of the most fantastic parts of our events is the continuing worldclass lineup of speakers that we provide time & time again. These speakers are all sources and vetted by the content. They have their finger on the pulse and know exactly what the industry needs to hear at our events.
  • Digital Our digital team are our newest department and they hit the ground running back in 2021. At CSM we always want to improve and by embracing the new digital age that we are moving into we hope to stay one step ahead of the competition. The digital team provide support guidance & expertise across all shows and departments on our digital platforms. This includes both external and internal.
  • Data Our data team is small yet very very mighty! One of our best assets as a business is the vast amount of data we possess. How this is managed & utilised is of the utmost importance. Through CRMs Salesforce and our own unique visitor database the data team have their hands full. Data is fast becoming one of the most valuable things in the world and we aim to follow this trend.

What skills do you need

  • A grasp on how to navigate working in an ambiguous environment.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • A commitment to being meticulous with your work.
  • Strong organisational skills.

Things to note

Assessment days for the bootcamp will take place on the 1st& 2nd of May at our London office in Hammersmith. You will need to attend one of these in person so please ensure you keep these dates free. You will then find out if you were successful on the 3rd May. The bootcamp will run from 1st July to 23rd August your attendance will be required in the office for the full 8 weeks of the bootcamp. Please do not apply if you cannot commit this time.
