About our Client: They are a leading company in the Power sector with over 27 years of verifiable experience in generation transmission and distribution networks to the West African Power Sector.

Position Objective: The Chief Commercial Officer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all commercial aspects of the company s operations. The primary focus is to drive revenue generation business growth and profitability. Coordinating an integrated commercial success of the company by the combination of an aggressive Marketing plan and deep commercial strategy that ensures increased profitability improved brand image and effective customer satisfaction for the sustainable growth of the company.
Strategy development
Develop and execute the company s commercial strategy. This involves identifying market opportunities defining target markets and creating plans to maximize revenue and market share.

Sales and marketing management
Overall management of the sales and marketing functions. This includes developing sales and marketing plans setting targets and objectives monitoring performance and implementing effective sales and marketing strategies.

Business development
Leading business development initiatives seeking new partnerships collaborations and opportunities for growth. Identify potential markets evaluate expansion options and negotiate strategic alliances or acquisitions to drive business growth.

Customer relationship management
Focus on building and maintaining strong relationships with customers. Work closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction resolve issues and identify opportunities for crossselling or upselling.

Pricing and revenue management
Oversee pricing strategies ensure optimal pricing for products or services to maximise revenue and maintain competitiveness in the market. Analyse market trends conduct pricing research and monitor pricing effectiveness.

Market intelligence
Monitor industry trends competitive landscape and market dynamics to identify emerging opportunities and potential threats. Gather market intelligence conduct market research and use datadriven insights to make informed decisions.

Crossfunctional collaboration
Collaborate with various departments including finance operations and product development to align commercial objectives with overall business goals. Foster crossfunctional teamwork and communication to drive success.



Requirements

Education and foundational experience:
Bachelor s degree in a relevant field such as business marketing or economics and MBA. Having foundational experience in sales marketing business development or finance to develop a solid understanding of commercial operations.
Industry experience (DISCO) very vital.

Key Skills/Abilities:
  • A strong proven commercial background
  • Proven ability to plan implement and analyze performance results against objectives and KPIs
  • Significant senior management and leadership experience
  • Demonstrable experience in managing operational performance within financial budgets
  • Proven ability to attract new sales and retain existing customers
  • Demonstrable personal leadership qualities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skill
  • Keen attention to details
