Cultural studies is a recent addition to the Key Stage 3 curriculum, started in 2021 and will support the school’s mission to create globally minded students. In addition to teaching this new and exciting subject, the post holder will also teach Qatar History, a subject introduced by the Qatar Ministry of Education and Higher Education. The post holder will be working within a highly motivated, committed and supportive team, focused on academic success. About you The successful candidate will be an outstanding role model within the College with a passion for helping our students to succeed. Candidates should have demonstrated success in their current role, be highly motivated and successful practitioners in Cultural Studies and/or Qatar History or related subjects and be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the College. A high level of subject knowledge and, above all else, a real passion for the subject is necessary. Cultural Studies and Qatar History are all mixed ability which enables staff to make the subject accessible to all, and at the same time, be able to stretch the top end of the cohort. A high standard of written and spoken English is an essential requirement for all our positions. Proficient levels of Arabic would be desirable. Applicants should be willing to contribute in a positive manner to all aspects of the school vision including co-curricular activities. About us
