Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for blood draws by explaining the procedure and answering any questions they may have.
- Select the appropriate needle and vein for the blood draw.
- Draw blood from patients using venipuncture or fingerstick methods.
- Label and package blood samples for transport to the laboratory.
- Perform other laboratory tests such as blood glucose monitoring and urinalysis.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols.
