About The Job

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic Bartender role to join Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain Resort & Spa Family. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

• Handling the cash float and transaction of the outlet.
• Being able to pick up, verify, and store all requisitions for juices, soft drinks and food items used for the bar areas.
• Stocking the bar areas with, juices, soft drinks, glassware, and condiments.
• Developing a complete working knowledge of the menu items and their ingredients and preparation.
• Developing a complete working knowledge of all products served by the bar, i.e. mocktails, specialty drinks, etc.
• Understanding the menu and the daily specials as well as what is not available.
• Maintaining all par stocks during service.
• Ensuring that all details of service are performed properly and that every guest receives the highest quality of service.
• Ensuring proper mixing, blending, etc. of drinks.
• Servicing all drinks for service bar area, guests, and the bar area.
• To be able to always keep the bar area neat and tidy clearing dishes and glassware whenever possible.
• Ensuring that the bar is stocked and all side opening and closing duties are completed.
• Ensuring to serve safe food, following the food safety procedures and HACCP system.
  

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Hotel School Degree or Diploma
• A minimum of 1 year experience in similar role.
• Multi-Culture environment experience
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in 5-star international luxury environment
• Presentable and with great communication skills
• Good beverage and cocktail experience
