Job Description

Vacancy: Senior Manager, Financial Controller

Location: Kingdom of Bahrain

Job Requirements

The Financial Controller has primary responsibility for oversight of all financial aspects and all accounting reporting streams necessary for the risk-free functioning of the business. The role holder will ensure accurate accounting and provide a high level of analytical skills in financial planning and reporting. Moreover, the candidate will manage account records, evaluate and manage risk, ensure compliance with regulations, publish financial statements, oversee accounting operations, analyze financial data, monitor expenditure, forecast revenue, coordinate auding processes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • GL and consolidation
  • Non-trade AP recording (Payable credit side)
  • CAPEX recording and related depreciation and amortization.
  • Recording all expenses operational, marketing, HR, G&A and all expenses by cost center.
  • General accounts and all other debit and credit balances
  • Treasury and bank reconciliation
  • Taxation
  • Liaison with auditors and tax consultants
  • Statutory financial reporting, and tax returns
  • Acquiring cycle daily and monthly closing across all related accounts, schemes and partner banks.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related discipline
  • Qualified accountant CPA or equivalent is a must, with minimum 3 years post qualification experience.

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Minimum of 15+ accounting experience
  • Solid track record in a previous controller position

Knowledge/Skills/Attributes:

  • Experience of working in a multi country finance department
  • Experience working in a senior management position within an organization audited by one of the Big 4 accounting firms
  • Experience in the financial services sector
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience in integration of companies from financial aspect is preferred
  • Familiar with multi-currency consolidations
