Job Description
- Ensure CSCHA computer and radio monitoring equipment (e.g., monitored station, satellite location) is working properly
- Check system for proper operation, (e.g., alarm, day/date, check printer paper) and log into system, as required
- Perform visual inspection of radios at beginning of shift (e.g., cracked cases, broken antennas) and install fresh batteries, recharging depleted ones, as required
- Monitor and/or issue radios and confined space flag to customers (e.g., sealers, inspectors, mechanics, engineers) in a customer oriented fashion and help resolve alarms and radio operation problems, as required
- Ensure proper operation of radio being issued, through observation of self-check cycle (e.g., flashing red light, then flashing green light, audible beeps), as required
- Assist customers in logging into CSCHA system, using bar-code scanner and appropriate bar codes (e.g., BEMSID, badge, confined space work location), as required
