he purpose of the job is to facilitate and administer all activities relating to the development and review of the organisational strategy business planning processes institutional performance management and reporting as well as manage and monitor the risks of the organisation to ensure that they are in line with the organisational strategy and goals. As a Manager: Performance & Risk you will be re sponsible for:
Safeguarding CMS reputation assets and the interest of stakeholders by identifying and managing all business risks through enterprise risk management and preparing the relevant reports;
Manage and monitor organisational enterprise risks to ensure alignment with the organisational strategy and goals;
Institutionalise the CMS Enterprise Risk Management Policy and Framework;
Institutionalise the CMS Regulatory Compliance Policy and Framework;
Institutionalise the CMS Ethics Policy and Code of Conduct;
Review the policies in the Office of the Chief Executive (CE) & Registrar;
Assist the Office of the CE and Registrar with the coordination of the audit function;
Institutionalise the CMS Performance Information Planning and Measurement Policy;
Manage monitor and report organisational performance to ensure alignment with the organisational strategy and goals;
Assist the Executive Manager in the Office of the Chief Executive in managing the organisational programmes and projects; and
Undertaking assignments/tasks allocated in accordance with the CMS operational requirements.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE BASE
The successful candidate will have the following essential qualifications competencies and skills:
BCom or relevant equivalent qualification in Auditing or Risk Management at NQF level 7.
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Risk management and/or Internal and External auditing; of which 2 years experience
must be in a supervisory role in Ethics Management ICT Governance Performance Information Framework and dealing with fraud
& handling tip offs.
Professional registration with the Chartered Institute of Business Management (CIBM) or Institute of Directors Southern Africa
(IODSA) or Institute of Risk Management South Africa (IRMSA) will be an added advantage.
Training and Knowledge areas:
Knowledge of IT;
Knowledge of the general tools and techniques of risk management;
Knowledge of the financial management processes within the public sector;
Computer Literacy; and
Knowledge of the regulatory environment (e.g. Finance corporate governance PFMA and Treasury regulations and other related
regulatory legislative and/or statutory requirements) and knowledge of audit management processes within the public sector will be an added advantage.
