To support environment manager for environmental studies (EBS, EBA, ESIA, ENVID) in preparation of Scope of Works (SOW), Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC) approval, Call for Tenders (CFT), technical evaluation of bids , contract management and ensure compliance with the scope of work, national regulatory, permits requirements and international standards (WB/IFC) and securing environmental permits for the projects from MOECC Qatar.
- To prepare the environmental deliverable in all project cycle through PRE-FEED, FEED, EPIC & Commissioning & De-Commissioning stage and advise the Project Engineer.
- To ensure the technical delivery and management of the consultant and timely submission of reports to MOECC, environmental requirements are addressed and included in the design, engineering documents for the installation and construction of new projects, and address MOECC’s technical comments to the studies reports and closure for acceptance of reports.
- To be primarily responsible for technical delivery of key projects including but not limited to (i) Phase 3.1 (RUYA), (ii) New Fiber Link, (iii) PWDR, (iv) EMOS, (v) EOL and any green or brown field development/ modification/de-commissioning projects as requested by Environmental Manager.
- Responsible for addressing MOECC review comments in any of project deliverable by third party consultant in coordination with the environmental consultant in reasonable time frame.
- To ensure that environmental requirements are communicated and understood by contractors to prepare their own environmental management plans and monitor the implementation of environmental requirements during the project implementation.
- To support environmental manager in managing biodiversity surveys and ensure the technical reports are reviewed and accepted by stakeholders within Company and external, supervise biodiversity surveys and ensuring techno-commercial management is aligned with Contract scope of work.
- To support Environment Manager in technical meetings and presentations related to environmental studies and biodiversity to external entities notably MOECC.
- Has a responsibility in multi-disciplinary and transverse activities including the interface with engineering and field operation.
- Support environmental operation and contribute to the development and implementation of Company’s Environmental Management System and actively participate in continuing audits for ISO 14001:2015 for Company
- To support environmental sustainability strategy, required procedures preparation, monitoring, and implementation in Company.
