Job Description

We are looking for a licensed handyman with expertise in fixing items for our hotel in Stromness.

Livein position

Tasks

Mission for Handyman

To fix damaged items and to maintain items that are starting to show signs of weakening in order to add to the items longevity and minimize the cost of reactive maintenance. Assist with setup of new properties: flatpack furniture curtains/blinds applying wallpaper hanging wall decor. Maintain the gardens and outside areas of properties.

Outcomes

  • To fix all items reported as requiring attention
  • To identify and repair any items that are starting to give in
  • To provide a quick turnaround for setting up of new properties collaborate closely with the setup Manager for doing so
  • To have gardens look fully tidy and clean at all times
  • To paved areas/slabs to be weedfree at all times
  • To log number of maintenance issues originating from guests communicate information to Property Manager
  • To communicate the numbers of complaints if confronted to the Property Manager
