We re seeking an experienced Director for the new Building Kidz of Dublin West! Our ECE center provides quality care and education for toddlers and preschool children. Our ideal candidate will be able to operate the center in accordance with our policies and procedures and California state licensing regulations title 22 to provide an educational nurturing and safe environment for children parents and staff.

Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for accurate and updated record keeping of onsite teacher child files and Community Care Licensing documentation
- Management of CRM system online application competence not limited to enrollment attendance daily logs curriculum child observations
- Keep inventory orders and purchase site supplies as needed
- Provide developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities for children in accordance with Building Kidz curriculum standards
- Maintain and follow all health and safety practices in compliance with Title 22 and early childhood education standards
- Conduct and create agendas for site meetings staff development and training for teachers
- Manage all aspects of employee relations for all teaching staff and is directly involved with interviewing hiring and terminations
- Other duties as assigned
Successful Candidates Must Have:
- Must be 18 years old
- 5 years of early childhood education experience preferred
- 1 years of business management experience is desirable
- Experience or knowledge working at a startup center is desirable but not required
- Experience with NAEYC accreditation preferred
- Strong leadership interpersonal and customer service skills are required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Outstanding leadership and management skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends
- Excellent computer skills at a general business level for Google Workspace emails slides documents meetings etc.
- Child Development Site Supervisor Permit/ Program Director is desirable
- Completion of CCL RecordKeeping Component
- Meets education criteria required by the state
- 16 hours of health and safety training which includes nutrition and lead certification
- Immunization records that comply with Senate Bill 792 (immunity for measles pertussis and influenza)
- Proof of Tdap and MMR vaccinations (or receive vaccinations during health screening)
- Ability to pass a health screening and TB test
- DOJ FBI and CACI Fingerprint Clearance or Finger Print Transfer Request (LIC 9182) completion of the two CCL Record keeping components with printed certificate
- 16 hours of Health and Safety training with the two courses: EMSA Prevention of Illness & injury Health and Safety for Licensed Child Care Provider (includes 2016 child care nutrition and 2020 Lead Poisoning Prevention update; 8hour class and EMSA Licensed Child Care Pediatric (infant child adult)
- CPR & First Aid 8 hours to meet State requirements EMSA Approved ( every two years)
Educational Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED and one of the following:
- 12 core* ECE semesters units 3 units of infant and toddler development and 6 units administration or staff relations plus 4 years of teaching experience in a supervised licensed or comparable group child care program
- AA degree in ECE with *core classes and 3 units of infant and toddler development 6 units of administration plus 2 years of teaching experience
- BA degree in ECE with*core units and 3 units of administration 3 units of infant and toddler development plus 1 year of teaching experience
- Child Development Site Supervisor Permit or Program Director Permit from CTC
- 12 core units in Early childhood education must include child/human growth & development; child/family/community or child and family relations; and programs/curriculum. You must have a minimum of threesemester units or fourquarter units in each of the core areas.
- 16 hours of health and safety training with the two courses: EMSA Prevention of Illness & injury Health and Safety for Licensed Child Care Provider (includes 2016 child care nutrition and 2020 Lead Poisoning prevention update 8hour class)
