Rust Developer

This is a remote position.

We are currently seeking an experienced Rust developer to join our team for the development of Remote Incident Manager (RIM) our remote desktop application built on WebRTC and Electron. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Rust programming particularly in developing native components for applications running on Windows and macOS environments.

Develop a VST 3 plugin in Rust that receives audio from digital audio workstations (DAWs) such as REAPER when theyre using ASIO or a nondefault output device and send the audio back to the main RIM application.

Implement efficient screen capture with minimal latency for our remote desktop application ensuring no noticeable degradation in quality for users with normal vision.

Support flexible handling of multiple displays during remote desktop connections including persistent window positions and sizes.

Ensure fluid and accurate mouse input synchronization between the target machine and the controller window.

Enable seamless transitions between the main desktop lock screen and login screen within the RIM application.

Integrate native Rust code with Node.js via NAPI for seamless operation within the Electron app environment.

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure the successful integration and deployment of Rust components within the RIM application.

Requirements

For VST 3 Plugin Development:

Proficiency in Rust programming language.

Experience in developing VST plugins.

Knowledge of audio processing and streaming technologies.

For Screen Capture and Mouse Input Implementation:

Proficiency in Rust programming language.

Experience in implementing screen capture and mouse input functionalities.

Familiarity with WebRTC and Chromium media stack.

Strong problemsolving skills for optimizing latency and quality.

Additional Requirements:

Proficiency in English with effective communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.

Prior experience with Electron app development is a plus.
