Job Description
The agency desires to maintain a hybrid work schedule. Two days per week onsite minimum. Due to the nature of the upcoming work facetoface discussions are most productive especially at the beginning of large project planning sessions.
Provide general support of CT DMV licensing applications. Upcoming initiative includes the replat formeing of the mainframebased licensing system. The candidate must be proficient with mainframe platform skills including CICS batch analysis and SOAP web services. With the licensing system moving to to a new platform necessary skills include.NET development and web services. Advanced skills developing Restful web services is a primary consideration for
this engagement.
The project that we are gearing up for is the refactoring of a mainframe application to a modern underlying infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to assist with the transition of the legacy mainframe application from CICS COBOL VSam to a .NET framework C# SQL environment.

What does the project / work entail. Include all detailed requirements.
1) Assist with major projects including AAMVArelated
2) Crosstrain in generating webservices used to communicate between inhouse and outofhouse applications that
may or may not also reside on a mainframe
3) Become familar with daytoday support with the goal of accepting responsibilities such as: a) supporting m/f
customer support; b) completing requests for ad hoc reporting; 3) analizing and enhancing existing CICS and batch
code in order to enhance processing or to resolve issues
4) Provide assistance in replatforming mainframe applications to a yettobedetermined platform
