Role: Sr Cloud AWS Engineer
Location: Iselin NJ (Hybrid)
Duration: Fulltime
Job Description:
- Provide level 3 support to key admin functions such as server monitoring troubleshooting and optimization.
- Ensure the availability performance and security of AWS resources.
- Implement automation scripts for routine tasks and system configurations. Knowledge of ansible and Jenkis is required.
- Streamline deployment processes using automation tools and frameworks.
- Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide AWS infrastructure support.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve issues and optimize system performance.
- Implement and maintain security measures in AWS environments.
- Collaborate with the security team to address vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Set up monitoring tools to track the performance and health of AWS resources.
- Generate reports and alerts to proactively address potential issues.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery processes for AWS resources. Knowledge of Rubrik and other similar tools is required.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
- Maintain detailed documentation for AWS configurations procedures and troubleshooting steps. Create and maintain Low Level Design and assist with developing high level design documents. Keep documentation up to date with changes in the AWS environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 57 years AWS experience with relevant certification is required
- Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field.
- Handson experience with AWS services and technologies.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python lambda) for automation tasks.
- Understanding of aws networking concepts and security best practices in AWS.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of 3rd party storage and firewall solution is desired.
Preferred Skills:
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker EKS Fargate).
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools. Knowledge of Atlassian tools.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Exposure to serverless computing concepts and technologies
- Knowledge of control tower and hands on experience working landing zone concepts is essential.
