Job Description
- The agency desires to maintain a hybrid work schedule. Two days per week onsite minimum. Due to the nature of the upcoming work facetoface discussions are most productive especially at the beginning of large project planning sessions.
- Provide general support of CT DMV licensing applications. Upcoming initiative includes the replat formeing of the mainframebased licensing system. The candidate must be proficient with mainframe platform skills including CICS batch analysis and SOAP web services. With the licensing system moving to to a new platform necessary skills include.NET development and web services. Advanced skills developing Restful web services is a primary consideration for this engagement.
- The project that we are gearing up for is the refactoring of a mainframe application to a modern underlying infrastructure. The candidate will be expected to assist with the transition of the legacy mainframe application from CICS COBOL VSam to a .NET framework C# SQL environment.
The ideal candidate:
will be proficient in .NET C# and SQL
must have a strong understanding of CICS COBOL VSam to support the legacy system transition
will additionally have strong skills for developing RESTful APIs to support data exchange between various systems
SCOPE OF WORK
What does the project / work entail. Include all detailed requirements.
1) Assist with major projects including AAMVArelated
2) Crosstrain in generating webservices used to communicate between inhouse and outofhouse applications that
may or may not also reside on a mainframe
3) Become familar with daytoday support with the goal of accepting responsibilities such as: a) supporting m/f
customer support; b) completing requests for ad hoc reporting; 3) analizing and enhancing existing CICS and batch
code in order to enhance processing or to resolve issues
4) Provide assistance in replatforming mainframe applications to a yettobedetermined platform
The Contractor shall deliver all goods and/or provide all servcies necessary to accomplish the objective set above in accordance with the following deliverables / milestones criteria for completion and special requirements

- EEE (Exclusive Electronic Exchange)
- AAMVA DACH (drug/alcahol clearinghouse). Crosstrain and assist
- Mainframe replatform
- NRCME (National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners)
- Support of licensing including: customer support program maintenance and enhancements related tasks

All required Personnel and IT Policies must be signed and acknowledged by Contractor as read and understood.
