Tasks
Role & Responsibilities:
- Ensure the successful tech transfer of our bioprocess from lab to Pilot and from Pilot to commercial stages of production.
- Take ownership and responsibility for the overall success of the pilot trials operating autonomously and making decisions to contribute to the companys overall success.
- Manage and supervise pilot runs including feedstock preparation loading harvesting and control of environmental conditions.
- Take responsibility for achieving Bosque Foods production KPIs
- Identify accessible analytical tools to ensure precise monitoring of fermentation parameters during both pilot and scaledup production.
- Ensure adherence to established protocols and quality standards during pilot production.
- Devise and implement effective contamination prevention strategies. Analyze results from pilot runs and provide insights and recommendations for process improvement and optimizing production efficiency and yield.
- Work closely with CMOs to ensure seamless tech transfer adherence to quality standards and successful implementation of the production process.
- Collaborate with research and product development teams providing insights and recommendations for improvements in process product and production efficiency and yield.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor Masters Degree or PhD in Biotechnology Bioprocess Engineering Biochemical Engineering or related technical field.
- Proven track record demonstrated by at least 4 years of handson experience in successfully scaling up foodgrade fungal fermentation processes involving edible filamentous fungi.
- Indepth understanding of mycology and effective measures for preventing and managing contamination.
- Proficient in procuring and handling industrial quantities of feedstock.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a network of relevant stakeholders in the industry.
- Handson with a proactive and problemsolving mindset.
- Must be available to be onsite (Berlin Germany).
- Willing to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Fluent in English German is a plus.
- Proven capabilities to achieve tangible outcomes in alignment with established objectives.
- Versatile and openminded adaptable to highpressure environments and adept at navigating unfamiliar scenarios and challenges.
