Position: Expeditor

Location: Beltsville MD 20705

Duration: 12 Months contract (Possible Extension)

Shift: 1^st shift Mon to Fri (08:00 AM 04:30 PM)

Pay Rate: $19.50 on W2

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Expeditor is responsible for identifying critical items expending those items through different phases of the manufacturing process and communicating back to the materials planning team

Initiates required documentation and/or system transactions to allocate purchase internally manufacture or reschedule material as required.

Track critical items through MFG Process to ensure revenue plan is met.

Coordinate with production and customer service to identify high priority work orders on manufacturing floor

Coordinate the return and replacement of defective materials to MRB and expedite the material back into the manufacturing process.

Ensures MRB and WIP MRP transactions are conducted accurately and timely

Provides daily written reports on the status of parts

Proactively identifies and reports potential problems which will result in not meeting deadlines or which may result in potential quality problems.

Perform all other duties as directed by OEM Planning Manager.

Performs clerical duties necessary to maintain work order WIP accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Ability to use basic MRP systems to perform inventory transactions

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of experience working in manufacturing environment
