Are you ready to join the Bike Club adventure Were on the lookout for a Finance Business Partner to be the financial backbone of our German operations. This marks our first Finance position in Berlin you will have a wide variety of tasks and responsibility exciting challenges and a pivotal role in shaping the success of Bike Club in Germany.

About Bike Club:

At Bike Club we offer subscriptionbased kids bikes that grow with your children. Families pay 517 per month and when their kids outgrow their bikes we swap them for the next size up. We refurbish the used bikes making them available to other families. Its sustainable and hasslefree somewhat like Swapfiets but for children.

With over 80000 bikes were the secondlargest bike rental network worldwide and were the biggest in kids bikes. Having raised over $50 million were rapidly expanding across Europe. While our home market is the UK weve already launched in Germany Austria Spain and the Netherlands.

What Are We Looking For:

In the startup realm the focus is on achieving profitable growth and reaching ambitious targets. Our Finance team historically centred in London has been the driving force. With our success in Germany were now on the lookout for our first Finance Business Partner in Berlin.

Your role is distinctive combining FP&A/Commercial Finance with fundamental Finance and Accounting tasks. As a crucial allrounder youll collaborate seamlessly with diverse teams. Working closely with the DE country manager the HQ Finance Team and the CFO youll actively contribute to shaping Bike Clubs financial success in Germany!

Tasks

Unit Economics Mastermind:

  • Maintain and comprehensively understand the unit economics for the German entity proactively identifying areas for improvement.

Strategic Collaboration with HQ FP&A:

  • Contribute insights to the HQ FP&A team participating in forecasting analysing sales trends cohort analysis and managing bad debts.

Operational Support for DE Leadership:

  • Assist DE leadership/Ops with tasks such as stock forecasting identifying slowmoving stock and ensuring accurate cost forecasting compared to actuals for the Ops function.

Financial Governance and Efficiency Guru:

  • Act as the primary point of contact with the local accounting firm and government authorities for Germany and Austria entities.
  • Lead monthly accounts ensure compliance and manage tax returns with inputs from the HQ Finance team.
  • Enhance the cost base efficiencies of the Germany entity managing fixed and variable costs feeding into accurate budgeting/forecasting throughout the year.
  • Serve as the goto person for all finance matters in Germany and Austria managing transactional entries reconciliations and overseeing payment operations.
  • Mainly focussed on Germany and Austria with occasional support for Spain and The Netherlands involving travel to our European Operations.

Finally take charge and actively engage in diverse adhoc finance and operational projects as needed by the business.

Requirements

Who were looking for:

  • A Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Bring 34 years of valuable experience either from a highgrowth startup or the realms of Investment Banking Management Consulting or Corporate Finance.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in both written and verbal communication in both German and English.
  • Handson experience with DATEV would be great.
  • Showcase excellent Excel skills; familiarity with Salesforce is considered an asset.
  • Exhibit a collaborative and teamoriented approach coupled with strong organizational skills and unwavering reliability.
