Facilities Technician

Location: 1 Blachley Road Stamford CT 06902

Type: 8 months contract on W2 potential to convert to perm

Qualifications:

• A minimum five (5) years experience in maintenance repair of systems and equipment listed below.
• Handson experience with handiwork painting and plumbing.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot problems independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical technical problem solving.

Responsibilities:

• Perform the maintenance required to keep the building and its systems in good working order.
• Maintain a safe functional and aesthetically pleasing environment through a variety of handson tasks.
• Utilizing the building management system (BMS) to monitor condition of systems and make environmental adjustments as needed.
• Respond to service calls for repairs or installation.
• Repair minor plumbing leaks faucets and fixtures.
• Address carpentry needs like repairing furniture doors and shelves.
• Monitoring repairing and preforming maintenance on HVAC systems.
• Addressing plumbing issues as required.
• Aesthetic maintenance such as painting dry wall door hardware issues and snow removal.
• Address carpentry needs like repairing furniture doors and shelves.
• Keep maintenance logs up to date and ensure PM is being completed on time and in accordance to the PM schedule.
• Support afterhours and weekend tasks as needed on an overtime basis.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through proactive problemsolving and positive communication.

o Team of 3 electricians 2 handymans (what we are replacing)

o Team of 5 total all together

o Works well together and has good team dynamic

o Could work longer than 8 shifts due to special projects (Olympics coming up)

Can you tell me about this position and the daytoday activities

o Preventative maintenance on a day to day changing filters daily walks through facility check equipment and rooms ensuring no alarms are flagged safety inspections etc.

o Lots of handyman work plumbing and painting repairs to the facility

o Can have some electrical components

o Everyday can have a different tasks

o Working through a workflow ticket system
