The Compensation & Benefits Analyst is a key member of the Total Rewards team responsible for maintaining accurate compensation and benefits data managing key processes performing analysis and making proactive recommendations to ensure all compensation and benefit programs run smoothly. Attention to detail and critical thinking are essential qualifications for this role.
This team member will be capable of being both tactical and strategic. We are a small and agile team so the Compensation and Benefits Analyst will be asked to get involved with and execute handson work while also thinking strategically and recommending improvements where appropriate. The Analyst will be able to make recommendations for improvement and take on additional projects related to compensation and benefits.
While not required this role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced compensation professional looking to get exposure to benefits to become a total rewards expert. This role is 90% remote with inoffice days required in our Philadelphia headquarters at least once a month sometimes more frequently during training or as team needs dictate.
Requirements
- Provide guidance and support to HR leaders and managers on compensationrelated matters.
- Complete compensation surveys and provide advice and recommendations to ensure competitive and fair compensation practices.
- Conduct benchmarking market analysis job evaluation and internal payforperformance analyses.
- Monitor compensation structures for reasonableness and recommend creation of new job codes where necessary.
- Assist in evaluating new job requests for alignment with existing roles partnering with HR business leaders to determine need for new role through a review of existing library and structure; evaluate appropriate FLSA status.
- Support the development and review of job descriptions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- In cooperation with the Director of Total Rewards manage the annual merit and bonus process. Create process documents and educational communications. May work independently or with a consultant to build workbooks in comp module for execution of process.
- Update existing salary structures and geographic differentials as needed.
- Maintain current knowledge of environmental legal and regulatory factors that impact compensation practices and trends in total rewards strategies in support of company objectives.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience working directly in compensation and/or benefits analysis or administration roles.
- Interpret benefit plan documents and provide direction and consultation to employees and vendors.
- Administer and communicate the company benefits programs policies and practices effectively and professionally.
- Ensure the timely processing of applicable benefitsrelated invoices and reconciliation of employee contributions towards benefits with payroll deduction reports.
- Assist with the evaluation of current vendors and service providers.
- Review employee benefit communications providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Complete special projects and adhoc analysis/reporting as needed (e.g. cost/benefit analysis; Open Enrollment Planning; audit requests; data reconciliation etc.). Proactively recommend solutions and areas needing additional analysis.
