We are looking for a friendly dynamic and proactive Purchasing Clerk to join our clients team. The selected candidate will be responsible for assisting the procurement department team. The Purchasing Clerk will support the daily operations including but not limited to responding to customer and supplier enquiries datainputting and other administrative tasks as assigned.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a group at the forefront of several different sectors in the local market that include Property and Construction Furniture and Interiors Elderly and Disability Catering Hospitality Architecture and Education.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daytoday work within the Procurement Department such as tracking of email communication.
- Issue Purchase Orders and forward to respective suppliers and departments originating requests.
- Respond to stakeholder enquiries regarding order status changes or cancellations.
- Create and maintain filing generate reports and update price lists.
- File and retrieve purchasing order documents and records.
EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing/administration will be considered as an asset.
- Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Keen on working on own initiative in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
EDUCATION
A bachelors degree will be considered an asset.
WORKING TIME
40 hours per week Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 17:00.
