Senior Quality Engineer
BUSINESS UNIT: Quality
REPORTING TO: Global Quality Leader
LOCATION: Worthing UK
THE ROLE:
Manages the complete scope of Quality actions in product lifecycle development for existing and future products to enable business growth and improve the Customer Experience. Performs a variety of quality engineering work in planning and developing products. Ensures that the product quality is builtin to reach the satisfaction of the future Customers. Coordinates investigations of internal and customer qualityrelated issues for resolution. Performs quality data analysis to drive product and process improvements. Guarantees business quality assurance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that Product Quality is integral to achieving the satisfaction of existing and future customers
- Ensure proper application of reference processes associated with product lifecycle development (New Product Development Product Evolution).
- Establish the Project Quality Plan Quality Objectives and KPIs for projects and products (New Product Development and Product Evolution) validates results.
- Guarantee that the voice of the customer is well collected and analysed in order to provide robust ranked customer requirements to the project team.
- Ensure that customer requirements are well taken in account during Product Lifecycle Development and provide all means to get them protected in Product Evolution developments.
- Make sure that risk identification assessment and mitigation plans are managed and updated in the project.
- Make the synthesis on lessons learned on product development.
- Performs product / process data analysis to opportunities for improvement. Leads / coordinates improvement activities.
- Drives / supports the internal and customer quality problem investigations. Decides on stop of delivery and derogation. Define disposition criteria for nonconforming products materials and components
- Ensures that the proper information is provided to the Customer in case of quality problem offer evolution and withdrawal.
- Ensures effectiveness of quality improvement and drives followup with factories and functions.
- Support coach the team on methods and quality tools needed to reach robustness customer satisfaction and quality targets.
- Ensures business quality assurance associated with relevant standards (e.g. ISO9001).
- Qualify new sources of products materials and components.
- Develop and improve relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Coordinates / leads 3rd Party Assessments. Performs internal audits.
- Drives improvement projects associated with products or processes.

QUALIFICATIONS
- College degree in Engineering Science Business Quality Assurance or applicable equivalent course of study
- Six Sigma Green Belt accreditation (not essential)
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Occasional international and/or domestic travel required
