Job Description
We are currently seeking Software Engineers to work onsite with a team of skilled Software Engineers developing Satellite Ground Stations Software in Java. This role is onsite at Aurora CO (candidates must reside or be willing to relocate). All candidates to meet the requirements of the job to be considered including US Citizenship and Active Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Javabased backend applications for satellite ground systems.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define design and implement robust serverside solutions.
- Modify and improve existing codebases for enhanced performance and scalability.
- Conduct software design and code reviews integrating best practices and innovations.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle ensuring adherence to Agile principles.
- Participate in system integration and project milestone completion under guidance from supervisors.
- Keep abreast of advancements in Java and related technologies to drive continuous innovation.
This role requires US Citizenship Active Clearance and working onsite. Candidates must meet the requirements of this job to be considered. This role is onsite therefore all candidates must reside Aurora CO or be willing to relocate.
Requirements
- Degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Software development experience using Java or other objectoriented software language.
- Java strongly required
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with C and Python.
- Experience working with the Atlassian Tool suite.
- Experience developing software in an Agile and/or DevOps environments.
- Previous work satellite GPS software desirable.
- Experience with one or more areas of satellite ground system software such as mission management planning and scheduling command and telemetry satellite operations or flight dynamics models.

Bachelor s degree in Engineering. Good knowledge and understanding of CAD, PLM tools. Required Skills: Customer Service Interpersonal Skills Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Critical Thinking Time Management Risk Escalation Scope Creep Escalation Technical Problem Solving Willingness to Learn Team Focused Technical Writing Ability Curiosity Experience in the following areas are a bonus: Authoring Tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, HTML) Content Creation Tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, Camtasia, Screen Recording, SnagIt) Instructional design. Effective communication and proficiency in English. Learning Management System (LMS) Application experience an asset. Experience on CATIA/ENOVIA/3DEXPERIENCE is a bonus. Proficient with MS Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
