Waste water / water industry experience preferred 35 years

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field of study plus Five (5) years experience in the job offered or five (5) years experience in design engineering performing each of the following duties: developing technical submittals design calculations for various parts of flow control equipment modeling and designing in software like Solidworks and AutoCAD; designing gate parts to sustain mechanical thrust & hydraulic static load; preparing Operation and Maintenance manual; performing calculations in Fluid dynamics and Finite Element Analysis and supervising accuracy in manufactured parts.
Alternative Requirements: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field of study plus two (2) years experience in the job offered or two (2) years experience in design engineering performing each of the following duties: developing technical submittals; design calculations for various parts of flow control equipment; modeling and designing in software like Solidworks and AutoCAD; designing gate parts to sustain mechanical thrust & hydraulic static load: preparing Operation and Maintenance manual: performing calculations in Fluid dynamics and Finite Element Analysis; and supervising accuracy in manufactured parts.
ABOUT THE JOB
Duties: Responsible for design calculations for various parts of flow control equipment as per AWWA 360. 561 and 562 standards; liaising with clients to discuss their project requirements and processing them to engineering department: Reviewing Core of Engineers design standards; reviewing project plans and specifications and provide design recommendations to clients; performing startup on the Equipment (gate valves and actuators); conducting meetings with clients for their project schedule: Organizing meetings with design and manufacturing departments to maintain project schedule; preparing Operation & Maintenance manual to include project specific installation and maintenance requirements; negotiating with client for favorable terms in Purchase Order and saving the company from potential legal exposure; and supervising accuracy in manufactured parts.
