SR. Network Engineer
Location: Burbank CA (Onsite Required) Must be local to Southern California this role requires up to 3 weeks onsite in the Burbank California. These 3 weeks may vary depending on smart hands availability and will not be consecutive.
Duration: 3 months
Number of openings: 2
Pay Rate: 70/hr $75/hr on W2
What will you be doing
Providence needs 2 Sr. Network Engineers to support their date center that was recently damaged due to flooding. Project Data is listed below.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Data Top Priority is increasing resiliency (lowering risk or outage/MI)
- Starting at Burbank Regional DC but this design will be the new standard and replicated to 5 additional regional Datacenters.
- Currently they have a collapsed LAN/DC core the project will separate out the DC Core off the LAN Core onto new hardware. All DC L3 SVIs to migrate to new core.
- Needs to be replicable to other DCs either via configlets in cloudvision or other automation tool like ansible.
- There does exist some VLANs where they need to extend via layer 2 from server in vSphere farm out to hospital edge (Catalyst 3750s or 9300s).
- Need a solution to isolate spaning tree vxlan to the edge.
- Already own new hardware: Arista 7050CX 7050SX 7010s (OOB)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Arista OS Cloudvision (Management configlets monitoring)
- Cisco Nexus OS (Not ACI)
- BGP OSPF (ISIS would be a nice to have)
- DC Fabric Technology VXLAN EVPN mpBGP
- Strong Communication skills
