Systems Engineer Level 5 Project Scheduling SME

Job Title: Systems Engineer Level 5 (Project Scheduling SME)
Job location: Columbia MD
Clearance: TS/SCI w FSP NSA

Seeking Senior Engineers with experience creating maintaining and coaching customers on Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in MS Project. This person will be the MS Project and Scheduling Expert leading and coaching our customers in the creation of IMS and the integration of products into MS Project Server environment.


Responsibilities:
Support customers for associated scheduling problems issues or conflicts.
Communicate with personnel across the enterprise to include senior executives.

Qualifications:
Required Education & Years of Experience
A High School Diploma or GED plus nineteen (19) years of general systems engineering experience.
OR
A Bachelors degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of fifteen (15) years of general systems engineering experience.
OR
A Masters degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of thirteen (13) years of general systems engineering experience.

Required Skills
Demonstrated experience with MS Project and/or MS Project Server.
Ability to interact with senior agency leaders development teams and technical project leads.
Ability to learn quickly and understand applications used to enhance project scheduling.
Aptitude to understand industry concepts related to systems engineering.
Strong aptitude for Technical Problem Solving.
Ability to perform research on a subject area and apply concepts.
Ability to develop tools templates processes (per unique problem) using tools provided by applications.
Technical Communications and Writing Skills.
Selfstarter that can see problems and begin discussion and action without waiting to be told their tasking.

Desired Skills
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining program Roadmaps and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS).
Experience building baseline schedules.
Experience creating and integrating program schedules into an IMS.
Ability to capture and prioritize requirements and outcomes.
Experience identifying both internal and external dependencies.
Experience with Analyzing portfolio and program schedules dependencies issues and risks.
Demonstrated experience performing thread analysis.
Experience with researching and performing technology integration (i.e. PowerBI Reporting Application).
Ability to provide training to program personnel.
Prior experience creating associated technical documentation for products.
