MW Partners is currently seeking a Electronic Assembler to work for our client who is a global leader in the aerospace defense and security markets.
Responsibilities and duties:
- The Electronics Assembler is in charge of performing within his / her area of technological specification tasks in the manufacturing process in accordance with the manufacturing documentation and the time allocated using the resources available (including conventional and/or digital machine tools) and inspects his / her own work.
- Works from assembly instructions parts lists wire lists diagrams verbal instructions and notes to assemble wire and install a wide variety of components
- Identifies and selects components to be integrated into subassembly and assembly units
- Utilizes a wide range of tools including soldering iron
- Interfaces with PC to record job activities
- Ability to read and understand Engineering drawings and understand engineering revision nomenclature
- Know how to read and follow assembly work instructions including drawing assemblies and MAI (manufacturing assembly instructions)
Requirements:
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in electronic mechanical assembly and/or cabling and harnessing
- Ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions
- Excellent Team player with proven ability to accomplish goals through collaboration
- Flexible with jobs that can assist in other areas
- Adequate Computer knowledge to look up engineering EOs using local database and other required documentation prior to starting a job
- Prototype cable manufacturing experience (IPC620 certification)
- Mechanical assembly (IPC610 certification)
- Soldering skills (IPC610 certification) a plus
- Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle or feel.
- The employee frequently is required to stand sit and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 1530 pounds.
