Overview: As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at our Healthcare and Rehabilitation Facility you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and highquality care to our residents. CNAs work under the supervision of licensed nurses and assist with daily living activities personal care and ensuring the comfort and safety of residents. Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing grooming dressing toileting and eating.
- Provide mobility assistance including transferring residents between beds chairs and wheelchairs.
- Help residents with a range of motion exercises and ambulation as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor and record vital signs intake and output measurements and other relevant information.
- Assist with medication administration under the supervision of licensed nurses.
- Maintain a clean safe and comfortable environment for residents including making beds tidying rooms and organizing belongings.
- Respond promptly to resident calls and requests for assistance.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for residents.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents promoting social engagement and wellbeing.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to resident care discussions as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Active certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of insert state.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be required or preferred).
- Previous experience in a healthcare or longterm care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy patience and compassion for the elderly and individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Physical ability to lift push and pull residents and perform tasks requiring bending stooping and kneeling.
