Responsibilities:
- Excellent employment opportunity for a Research Associate Biology Onsite in South San Francisco area.
- We are seeking a highly motivated in vivo research associate to join our Inflammation group as a contractor.
- Will support in vivo scientists to execute preclinical studies whether they are within regular working hours or afterhours or in weekends.
- The daytoday responsibilities will include daily dosing daily disease scoring blood and tissue collections sending out packages facility maintenance (such as stocking supplies and keeping lab space organized) and assisting with various aspects of study maintenance.
Experience:
- Required Degree or Certification: B.S./B.A. Degree in Biological Sciences or related field.
- 2 years of laboratory animal facility experience
- Hands on experience with preclinical mouse models is required.
- The candidate should not be afraid of handling animals.
- The successful candidate will be proficient in murine handling techniques including IV IP PO SC inlife and terminal blood collection and handling of tissues during necropsy and processing for ex vivo analysis.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team is essential.
- Good recording keeping and organizational skills are preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have handson experience with bacterial infection models.
- Top Required Skill Sets:
- Basic computer proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel is required
- Must be able to work in a team environment and have the flexibility to collaborate and provide support to various team members
- Must be able to report to shifts with punctuality
- Must be able to work afterworkinghours weekends and holidays as needed
- Demonstrated ability to organize and plan study support with minimum supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Good recording keeping and organizational skills are required.

- Knowledge of and experience with USDA regulations laboratory animal welfare guidelines and AAALAC International guidelines is a plus but not required
