Our client in Kiambu County is seeking a Security Manager to ensure safety and security across their sites aligning with international standards on security & human rights. Reporting to the Ag. Deputy Managing Director this role is vital for maintaining a secure environment while upholding ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide oversight to the security unit including field guards onsite guards control room and drone team.
2. Ensure security service providers adhere to Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights.
3. Update Security Policy to align with international standards.
4. Develop and supervise security budgets.
5. Implement emergency management protocols and procedures.
6. Coordinate security operations for events or visits.
7. Conduct training for staff on safety and security.
8. Prepare reports on security incidents and risks.
9. Establish community relationships and network with key security players.
10. Develop strategies to address security challenges such as pineapple theft.
Requirements:
1. University degree; further education in military police or security.
2. Minimum 5 years experience as a security manager in a multinational company.
3. Expertise in security & human rights with a focus on agriculture and production.
4. Knowledge of international and local security regulations.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to lead and train security teams effectively.
7. Fluent in English; knowledge of Swahili/local languages is an advantage.
