Senior Data Analyst

This is a remote position.

** This is a remote position but it is preferred that the ideal candidate resides in Baja California and/or Sonora Mexico.**

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our small but

mighty team. In this key highly collaborative and visible role you will lead the charge in

building our data organization and establishing a datadriven and centric culture from

essentially the ground up. Successful candidates must have zero to 1 experience in a

startup environment.

Requirements

6 years of experience in the Data Analytics and/or Business Intelligence

space with proven success in building a high functioning data organization

2 year in a startup environment

Experience taking a data org from zero to one

Highly proficient in performing description diagnostic and prescriptive

analysis; can speak to specific projects/examples of performing this work

Ability to effectively present complex data and insights to both technical and

nontechnical audiences

Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for taking on challenges and new

responsibilities. Able to build strong relationships with crossfunctional

teams and stakeholders at all levels

Exceptional problemsolving critical thinking and communication skills.

Enthusiastic about data insights and analytics models

Proficiency in SQL R and Python and experience with modern data

processing frameworks and tools (ie. Looker ETL such as Datachannel &

FiveTran DBT Airflow)

Plus if you know Javascript and/or Retool

Experience with cloudbased data platforms and data warehousing solutions

(ie. AWS Redshift PostgresQL)

Knowledgeable on how to create tables and schemas and get data into a

data warehouse.

Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar role. Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (ex. Ruby, Python, JavaScript). Strong familiarity with a variety of programming frameworks (ex. Rails, React, React Native, NextJS) In-depth knowledge of software design principles, algorithms, and data structures. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a technical team. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Highly effective communication skills, both verbal and written. You aren t satisfied to just say something you take the next step to ensure people understand. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Highly skilled at active listening while also being able to provide strong points of view, loosely held. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Experience working with offshore engineering teams
