QA Automation Engineer

Position: Automation Engineer

Responsibilities:

Ensure product quality through rigorous testing and adherence to industry best practices.

Test interfaces document results identify trends and escalate concerns as needed.

Recognize deficiencies and coordinate standardization opportunities for internally developed products.

Perform technical analysis and implement appropriate testing solutions.

Lead and contribute to the development of test plans including defining approaches writing reviewing presenting and implementing plans.

Estimate justify and provide work effort for all tasks.

Document and execute automated and/or manual test cases to verify system functionalities and performance.

Set up test environments and conduct whitebox and blackbox testing.

Develop and maintain a test automation platform (test scripts and framework).

Troubleshoot and debug applications under test.

Create system test results release notes and other testing and deployment documentation.

Provide analysis and feedback to management and relevant departments on recurring problems recommending improvements to reduce future issues.

Participate in creating administering and updating procedures for issue resolution.

Identify procedural and policy enhancements to streamline and improve software development efficiency.

Requirements

Minimum three years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.

Minimum two years of experience in test automation implementation.

Proficiency in Selenium Python Groovy JavaScript and test automation tools such as Postman SoapUI Test Complete and JMeter.

Experience in testing APIs and web service technologies.

Knowledge of Shell and Bash.

Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins.

Basic knowledge of Networking.

Familiarity with GitHub Git Jenkins JIRA and Zephyr.

Experience in VoIP protocol and legacy telephony is an asset.

Knowledge of Cloud environments is an asset.
