As a clinical psychologist at EMH you will be an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. We focus on providing clinicians with the tools needed to succeed in their roles. You will work directly with a trained clinical manager and the support team to enhance your skill set and experience working with this complex population.
- Assess diagnose and treat residents in skilled nursing facilities. You will have the opportunity to provide mental health services to a diverse and medically complex population including geriatric patients patients with disabilities and those with complex psychiatric histories.
- Maintain an active caseload and work with the team to maintain a referral stream.
- Develop relationships with facility staff and provide consultation e.g. curbside consult inservices as needed etc.
- Complete clinical documentation in a timely manner.
- Documentbased on medical necessity and in accordance with Medicare standards.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (Ph.D. PsyD) in Clinical Psychology (required)
- Current and valid California state license as a Psychologist (required)
- Medicare Provider eligibility (required our inhouse billing team assists with this)
- Ability to be placed on 3rd party insurer panels (required we assist with this process)
- Strong clinical background in evidencebased practices
- Telehealth experience and/or willingness to learn and utilize modality
