Job Description

Job Type: Direct Fulltime
Position: Safety and Compliance Administrator
Salary: $
Shift: 8am5pm MF
Location: Windsor ON

Job Description:


Our client is a transportation and logistics company servicing Michigan and Ontario.
We are currently looking for an experienced Safety and Compliance Administrator. Pay rate is based on experience!

Job Duties:
  • Maintain and update truck operating binders
  • Ensure all trucks have required documentation at all times
  • Explain driver manuals policies and procedures to new employees
  • Lead driver training meetings and ensure drivers are up to date on all policies and procedures
  • Handle fuel cards/receipts for all drivers
  • Assist drivers when needed
  • Handle licensing of all trucks and trailers
  • Keep up to date on annual licensing renewals
  • Maintain original ownerships
  • Assist with IFTA renewals and US permits
  • Maintain master records of trucks trailers and drivers
  • Update records on a regular and timely basis
  • Provide fuel maintenance cost reports etc. as requested by management
  • Order and maintain transponder units
  • Ensure all safety and legislative compliance is met
  • Assist HR with the recruitment and onboarding process of new drivers
  • Review driver's logs and safety checks
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules
  • Provide communication between management the operations team and drivers to ensure smooth operation
  • Communicate with insurance company regarding additions and deletions to policies
  • Other duties as assigned
Must Haves:
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience managing fleet operations
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and changes
  • Excellent computer skills in Word Excel and Outlook
  • Strong working knowledge of DOT MTO FMCSA IFTA IRP FAST CTPAT PIP CVOR plates licensing permits and other requirements
