Our client is a transportation and logistics company servicing Michigan and Ontario.
We are currently looking for an experienced Safety and Compliance Administrator. Pay rate is based on experience!

Job Description:
Our client is a transportation and logistics company servicing Michigan and Ontario.
We are currently looking for an experienced Safety and Compliance Administrator. Pay rate is based on experience!
Job Duties:
- Maintain and update truck operating binders
- Ensure all trucks have required documentation at all times
- Explain driver manuals policies and procedures to new employees
- Lead driver training meetings and ensure drivers are up to date on all policies and procedures
- Handle fuel cards/receipts for all drivers
- Assist drivers when needed
- Handle licensing of all trucks and trailers
- Keep up to date on annual licensing renewals
- Maintain original ownerships
- Assist with IFTA renewals and US permits
- Maintain master records of trucks trailers and drivers
- Update records on a regular and timely basis
- Provide fuel maintenance cost reports etc. as requested by management
- Order and maintain transponder units
- Ensure all safety and legislative compliance is met
- Assist HR with the recruitment and onboarding process of new drivers
- Review driver's logs and safety checks
- Coordinate maintenance schedules
- Provide communication between management the operations team and drivers to ensure smooth operation
- Communicate with insurance company regarding additions and deletions to policies
- Other duties as assigned
- 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience managing fleet operations
- Knowledge of industry regulations and changes
- Excellent computer skills in Word Excel and Outlook
- Strong working knowledge of DOT MTO FMCSA IFTA IRP FAST CTPAT PIP CVOR plates licensing permits and other requirements
