Job Description
We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our clients projects team which is mainly involved in delivering various residential and commercial buildings ranging from pharma production and warehousing manufacturing plants and more. The key purpose of this position is to support the commercial team by tracking the progress on various projects and manage costings through procurement and implementation hand in hand with the operational team and the person will be reporting to the Project Manager and CEO.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a company focused on the construction and manufacture of building materials and is based in Naxxar Malta.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare tender and contract documents including bills of quantities specifications drawings.
- Assist in creation and management of subcontracts.
- Undertake cost analysis of the project works.
- Advise on a procurement strategy.
- Prepare and analyse costings for tenders.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
- Ensuring timely issue and receipt of valuations payment notices along with critical focus on works in progress.
- Estimate the quantity and costs of materials.
- Prepare manage and process the interim payment certificates of work completed.
- Assessment of all applications for payment from subcontractors.
EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role in Malta.
- Possess a good understanding of Windows and ACAD.
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken in Maltese & English.
- Clean driving licence valid for the Maltese islands.
EDUCATION
A relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying.
WORKING TIME
Monday to Friday from 07:00 till 16:00 with one hour break. Summer and Christmas shutdown.
