Job Description
Please upload college transcripts with application. These can be unofficial and should include any Undergrad and Grad where applicable. Candidates must have 16 hours of Biology Courses 16 hours of Chemistry courses 3 hours PreScience Math and 12 hours specific Biology including Microbiology. Applications without transcripts WILL NOT be considered.
Position Overview:
Responsible for routine laboratory testing and work of moderate difficulty as it
relates to microbiological and/or molecular areas.
Duties may include first level troubleshooting guidance to entry level staff and
work of moderate difficulty.
Performs other tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
A PH Lab Scientist 2 performing clinical duties the majority of their time must:
Have successfully completed a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical
Laboratory Technician program.
OR
Have graduated from an accredited college or university with a bachelors
degree in life sciences (e.g. biology microbiology or biochemistry)
Medical Laboratory Science premedicine or other acceptable science.
OR
Meet CLIA Testing Personnel Qualification Category set forth in federal
CMS regulations 42 CFR 493.1489.
Required Experience:
Have one year of fulltime professional work experience in the Clinical
Laboratory field (for this level scientist).
