Job Description
The job role of a design manager involves ensuring structural drawings and designs are produced on time, to a high quality, and are easy to decipher. Overseeing the design process using technical expertise.
Principal Accountabilities (Role & responsibilities )
Experience in reviewing Specification and Overall Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Design of Solar Project.
Experience in working of HV/EHV/DC Systems.
Experience in reviewing Control Relay Scheme, Solar Inverter & Plant SCADA.
Experience in analyzing project requirements, generating conceptual schemes and executing design solutions.
Experience in working for large project within defined scheduled.
Coordinating with internal stakeholders, including SCM, Construction, Testing Engineer, QA, security & O&M.
Coordinating with internal stakeholders, including DGVCL, GETCO, SLDC, Vendors, Consultants, etc.
Oversee Electrical Design of the Project
Prepare project proposals with budgeting, effort estimations and timeline.
Supports Bidding Team for new business stream.
Managing Electrical Design and Engineering end to end.
Implementing new systems.
Manage project by setting requirements, goals, and timelines with engineering department and budget.
Design strategies for future projects based on company s overall objectives and resources.
Hire engineers and coordinate their training.
Implement innovative technologies.
Education/Experience
Educational qualifications = BE/B.Tech in Electrical
Experience = Minimum 8-12 Years
Competencies/skills
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Engineering, masters will be preferred.
2. Experience 8-12 Years in Solar, Substation & Transmission Line projects.
3. Experience in managing a team.
Attention to detail and excellent diagnostic skills.
4. Mandatory Depth knowledge in Design software s like PVsyst, Sketch Up, AutoCAD, STAAD, ETAP, Dialux etc.
5. Ability to motivate and inspire staff.
Strong leadership abilities and good time management skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving and management skills.
7. Ability to train staff junior staff.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
