About the Role

If youre passionate about animal welfare and enjoy the tranquillity of farm life We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to apply as a Farm Animal Caretaker. If you have a love for cows calves pigs and sheep and possess the skills to manage their wellbeing we want to hear from you.

Role Responsibilities

Attend to the daily needs of cows and calves ensuring their health and comfort.
Perform milking duties in the morning and afternoon to maintain a consistent milking schedule.
Keep the farm clean and organized by regularly shuffling and cleaning designated areas.
Occasional washing of small calf houses and cleaning tasks within the pig and sheep houses.
Assist with the care of sheep as needed.

Work is approximately 78 hours a day with a morning shift from 05:00 to 10:00 and thenan afternoon shift from 15:00 to 18:00.

During busy periods be prepared for extended hours to meet the demands of the farm.

Prioritizing animal welfare to follow best practices in handling and caring for farm animals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in handling and caring for farm animals (Preferred).
• A keen interest in animal welfare and agriculture.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Physical ability to perform tasks in various weather conditions and lift heavy objects when required.
• Willingness to work early mornings weekends and possibly some public holidays.
• Excellent observational skills to detect health issues in animals early.
• Team player with effective communication skills.
